I am by no means a writer, so I will try my best to describe the beautiful event one my best and oldest friends, Emily Dosman, put together for breast cancer awareness.
People walked in to a beautifully decorated room, at the K-W Granite Club in Waterloo. Emily was joined by over a hundred women and even a few males at her girls night in fundraiser. Everyone started the night off socializing with one another and listening to the sounds of Jesse Webber. Then came time for a delicious meal, while two amazing and strong women shared their story about surviving breast cancer. I wish I could begin to describe how amazing these stories were. These women are so powerful and strong, we were very lucky to hear them speak, everyone was touched. Following our delicious meal we had the raffle draw, many companies helped out by donating prizes for the cause.
The MC of the evening, Colleen Cooper, expressed how amazing it is to have someone as young as Emily (age 21) take initiative in putting together an event for breast cancer and gives "older" women hope for a cure. Emily gives all women hope for a cure. After hearing Cynthia's story about battling breast cancer in her final year of law school, in her mid-twenties, you realize women can get breast cancer at any age.
Emily raised over $2000 that evening!!!
Emily Dosman you are an Angel on Earth. You have a heart of gold and you are over all amazing.
